The Lies of Locke Lamora - Scott Lynch Sacred Games - Gary Corby

Since I have finished the Magierdämmerung trilogy by Bernd Perplies, I switched back to 'Sacred Games' by Gary Corby which I had to pause because of the trilogy I borrowed from a friend. I really enjoy reading the mixture of historical novels and detective stories and even though it's the third book of a series I have absolutely no problems with the story even though I haven't read the previous ones. When I talked to a friend about the books I'm going to read in the near future I mentioned the fantasy novel 'The Lies of Locke Lamora' by Scott Lynch. I heard and read a lot about this book - throughout positive comments - and immediately had the urge to start this one too. So far I'm 8% in and I'm really liking it.

Even though I try to avoid reading more than one book at a time, it once more happend again :) Fortunately both books are from completely different genres.

What are you reading at the moment? And do you like reading various books at the same time or do you try to avoid it too?
